We've had a fabulous summer with trips, events and activities and there's still a week to go before its "back to school" for our youth club members.
With thanks to the Sir Walter St John charity we were able to put on an extra programme of activities to support emotional wellbeing. 31 young people took part in our Mind Body & Soul project with 16 achieving First Aid accreditation.
With thanks to the Jack Petchey Foundation we attended London and Brighton Pride and this year we also took members along to Trans Pride for a lovely (if slightly soggy afternoon!).
To round off a busy summer we took 8 young people on a fabulous weekend residential at the Lodge Hill Activity Centre located in the South Downs, Sussex.
Here are just a couple of the comments from our members:
“Thank you for the weekend. I truly appreciate all that you did for us.”
“I found that not only was it a fun and exciting experience, it taught us new things too. I feel like we became closer as a group. Wish it lasts longer, it was such a great experience. Also thank you, Nicki and all the volunteers who organised and came with us on the trip”
