We are delighted to launch our new Inclusivity Award to  highlight and celebrate LGBTQ+ inclusive practice

We want to help organisations to demonstrate their positive practice, which in turn will enable the LGBTQ+ community and allies to easily identify services where they can feel confident about equality of provision

We will award our benchmark to organisations who meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Direct examples of positive practice fed back through our membership
  • LGBTQ+ inclusive equal opportunities monitoring in place
  • LGBTQ+ inclusive policies in place
  • LGBTQ+ information on display
  • Gender neutral toilets (where single stall cubicles are available)

We will review policies and practise annually to ensure standards are maintained and support organisations to make any necessary changes.

The benchmark has been designed by Make It Clear with direct input from LGBTQ+ community.

"We were delighted to be asked by Free2B to design a mark for their inclusivity award. As an organisation, LGBTQ+ issues are very close to our heart. We actively encourage a culture of inclusivity and acceptance and we fully support Free2B’s activity in this area. It has been a great honour to be one of the first recipients of the award. We can recommend the process of working towards the award that saw us examining policy and approach. As part of our organisational change, we implemented an equal opportunities monitoring form. We believe the initiative has the opportunity to effect real change".
