Zamy supports our youth project work within schools, at events and at The Gap youth club with a focus on BAME participation.
They are committed to supporting young LGBT+ individuals in their personal and emotional growth. They have extensive experience supporting LGBT+ people of migrant experience whilst volunteering for 2 years with the charity UK Lesbian & Gay Immigration Group (UKLGIG). They hold a master’s degree in Postcolonial Studies and as a student organiser, they co-founded the QTIBPOC Collective to create community spaces that centre healing and well-being for queer, trans and intersex Black people and People of Colour (QTIBPOC).
In their free time, Zamy enjoys reading, cooking, learning capoeira and spending time in nature.
